Ramadhan comes from the word "ramidla," which means heat. Scholars interpret the meaning of "heat" to mean burning or expiating the sins of those who fast during the month. To celebrate Ramadan 1444 H, the Madhava Persada Group held a sharing activity entitled "Meaning Ramadhan with Togetherness!" The activity was held with the Mizan Amanah Orphanage and Dhuafa Home, located on Jl. Melati Wetan No. 8A, Baciro, Gondokusuman District, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta 55225.
On the way to the location, crowded with vehicles as it approached the time to break the fast, the enthusiasm of the Madhava Persada Group Superteam to attend the Mizan Amanah Orphanage and Dhuafa Home did not diminish. The breaking of the fast, held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, was an actualization of our intention to share in the blessed month of Ramadan.
The event included interactive storytelling by a Psychology lecturer who told the story of a caterpillar. The story conveys the message that achieving dreams requires a struggle that may not be easy, just like a caterpillar that must fast for 14 days in a cocoon to become a beautiful butterfly. The children's faces radiated joy throughout the event. When asked what their dreams were, many responded with joy and enthusiasm. The story also provided motivation for the elementary and junior high school children at the Mizan Amanah Orphanage that they are capable of achieving their dreams. Some of the children aspired to be religious teachers, soldiers, police officers, doctors, volleyball players, and other professions.
We hope that this brief moment of joy at the end of the day will leave a valuable impression that will serve them well in the future. We also hope that the gifts and parcels we provided will enliven the atmosphere of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, which should be celebrated with joy.
